The cable car to our local mountain, the Rosskopf, is only a few steps away, and with the new 10-seater gondola lift, you can get up to the sunny high plateau at around 2,000 metres above sea level in no time at all. Can you hardly wait for your winter holiday in Sterzing? Neither can we! The best thing to do is to book your apartment right away.

Skiing fun at the Rosskopf in Sterzing

The Rosskopf mountain attracts people of all ages to go skiing in Sterzing with 20 kilometres of sun-kissed, perfectly groomed slopes. The blue, red, and black slopes offer something for everyone – whether you’re a beginner, a casual skier, or a downhill pro. The many sunny terraces make for great places to relax in between, and numerous huts invite you to sit back, unwind, and eat well. And afterwards, you can ski to your heart’s content. Try out all the slopes and finally take the downhill run to Sterzing and enjoy a cosy evening in your apartment in the town centre.

A winter holiday in Sterzing at its best

Skiing in Sterzing isn’t the only popular winter sport. Tobogganing is also a hit! The longest illuminated and snow-covered toboggan run in all of Italy awaits you on the Rosskopf mountain. The 10 kilometres and 900-metre downhill run is quite a ride. You can hire the toboggans from the local ski rental shop.

six-kilometre high-altitude trail for winter hiking is waiting to be explored at the Rosskopf ski area. Enjoy the panoramic view across the Zillertal Alps to the Dolomites.

Around 100 kilometres of cross-country ski trails await you in Sterzing and its side valleys. The Pfitscher Hochtal valley, with 20 kilometres of excellently prepared trails, is considered an insider tip for cross-country skiers.
